- No remaining keys. Vehicle in a Taylor driveway. Owner can prove the vehicle is theirs.
- Diagnosis
- This is an origination job, not a duplicate. The blade has to be cut to the vehicle, then the transponder (or integrated head) has to be programmed so the immobilizer will let it start. A copy of a key that does not exist is not an option.
- Work
- Confirm year, make, model, and ownership.
- Identify the key system and whether it can be originated in the field.
- Generate the blade. Program the vehicle. Test start, lock, and unlock before leaving.
- Result
- When the vehicle and equipment line up, the owner leaves with a working programmed key. When they do not — some Ford systems still need a dealer — that is the answer before the work starts, not after.
